With his long-standing professional experience in the IT sector and his proverbial “German inventive spirit“, in 2000, founded nicos AG, what was then a very small company. Today nicos AG is the parent company of a group of five companies, globally distributed on three continents. Enthralled by and concerned with future technologies, Tom can easily be called a ”technological visionary“ himself. Not only a true and dedicated family man but a proud “head of a family“, he also created genuine, authentic and sustainable values. As a result, most employees now strongly identify with nicos AG or as we say today: They are part and parcel of the nicos AG DNA!

A graduate of business studies and certified public accountant, Axel initially worked for a renowned accounting firm. After some time with an IT-firm, he moved on to join the management team of one of the largest international law firms where he stayed for almost 20 years. However, always preserving his close ties with the IT world, in 2019, Axel decided to take up his previous position as a board member of nicos AG. He can best be described as strongly dedicated to his work – never shying away from taking on responsibility wherever it may come from. When it comes to his team/employees, Axel is incredibly supportive and fair. His great sense of humor makes working with and around him easy.

From a background working with a publicly listed financial services organisation, Alex brings a wealth of senior leadership experience and a demonstrated history of delivering outstanding outcomes. He spent over a decade transforming multiple lending businesses by focusing on process automation and data analysis. A natural leader, Alex enjoys working with people to help them achieve their maximum potential. Also, a keen problem solver, he enjoys identifying opportunities to improve and the process of unpacking and fixing issues. You will always find an open door and a willingness to talk about any topic with anyone.

Robert Holm graduated from school in Cape Town, where he spent many years of his youth. He then returned to Germany to study business administration at the University of Hamburg. After completing his studies, he went straight to work at Bertelsmann as an executive assistant. Robert Holm then held various positions in the Bertelsmann Group, which also took him abroad as Managing Director. In 2020 he moved to nicos with the clear goal of developing his positive energy and diverse sales experience in a medium-sized company.
